Where is Sarah
            - still missing you, 18 Oct 1998
                - thanks to G.B. for his voice

There’s an old blanket
Collecting dust on racks
Some bountiful colors
Some distant cry of itself

There’s a soft-hearted man
Walking down memory lane
Catching snowflakes falling
Like tears of shame never sown

There’s an industry of memories
Roaming through streets of old
Trying to find another victim
Searching for the perfect world

But
where
is
Sarah

There’s a tomorrow
Buried deep in yesterdays
Leaving minds abandoned
On roads of endless fate

There’s a yesterday
Haunting my most inner soul
Never looking backwards
Never finding me out

There’s an old dream dying
Breathing out like empty sighs
Wanting to capture time
For one more memory lane

But
where
is
Sarah

There’s today dirty like then
When you slipped away
Selling yourself out short
And leaving me here to die

Just like you vanishing
Without contemplating me
A series of images
Never meant to be

Now there’s rain falling
Where sunshine should be
There’s a mile of clouds
Painting only your face

But
where
is
Sarah

There are images of curls
Waving around my soul
There are legs dancing
Leaving footprints on my soul

There are breaths wanting
Struggling mad to stay a while
Yet too short to gather
Much too short to stay

If my dream would ever
Include any part of you
Would it stop my breathing
Would it finally find me

Where
Sarah
waits
today
